Balloons 'n Tunes
These are just a few shots I got tonight at the Grove City Balloons 'n Tunes event at Beulah Park. The weather couldn't be any more perfect. My only complant was the hour and a half wait to get to take a balloon ride just to find out before getting on board that the sun has set and no more rides. I believe everything happens for a reason and I was fine with the turn of events.
Peggy took several excellent photos with her new FujiFilm finepix S2550HD. She took some HD video and a lot of still shots. you can see her shots on Facebook from this link.

Nice cool bike ride
This picture was taken with Peggy's new FujiFilm FinePix S2550HD point-n-shoot. It was a cool and cloudy morning when this was taken but thought it did an excellent job.

2010 Balloon Glow
Demonstration of a burn without the balloon
This is about as exciting as it got.
I think I was supprised that altemeters, balloon temperature and vertical speed indicators were on board.Aerostar Aurora 54k was the maker of this ride. The 54k indicates that the balloon can hold 54,000 basketballs. This was a single person balloon. The owner of this balloon gave a impromtu presentation about the mechanics of the sport.
Bottom line... We got rained out. We actually had two opportunities to see balloons and the first time was cancelled due to high winds. The second time was suppose to be the actually "Glow" at 8:30pm and it was raining. Oh well. Maybe next year.
This is what we wanted to see but did not! This is a balloon glow.

Fishing at Hargus
Chris and I left to go fishing this morning and it turned out to be an excellent start. When I say "Excellent start" what I mean is that the temperature was very nice and a slight breeze. This didn't last long and by 8:30, we were looking for shade. Eventually, we got to the point that the sun was straight overhead and no shade was to found. At this point the temperature was a bit excessive and the humidity was high.
Ultimately, Chris won the most fish and the largest fish. I can say that I was not skunked. If I had another few hundred hours with Chris not fishing, I could have been convinced I could beat him.

Doran's Farm Market
Peggy and I chose to go to another Photo Walk in New Albany this morning at 7:00am. It turned out to be an excellent morning. I might even say a bit cool at first but got hotter around 8:00am. I've uploaded several more photos at my Picasa Album.

Google Blogger - Print Your Blog, Sell Your Blog Book!
Very cool product. As a test, I printed my entire Blog and it ended up at 51 pages. Total cost was just over $26. You can get a full preview of the entire book.
Nicely done.
Once I get a job, this would be a great way of archiving great memories for ever.
Quick (nearly) 10 Mile Jaunt
This ride was a quick jaunt to get in some much needed miles. I did not even take my camera so I would not be temped to go off trail and spend time with the wild life. I was committed to get my miles in and get back home.
On my ride, I was blessed to see four deer. I took the southern trail and don't typically see a lot of wildlife on that trip. However, I did see some deer and one was a small fawn. I was surprised to see the dots still on its side. They were faded but could still see them.
I also checked on the progress of the new section. At the end of my trail, construction is underway to extend the trip over 33. Looking on Google, I do not see any connecting bike paths on the other side so, I suspect it might be a while before anything significant has extended.
