Lake Stephens
Peggy and I took a few days and headed to my Brothers camp where we took some time with his jet ski. We got a "heavy" tan due to the magnificent weather.

Night Shots at Lake Stephens
This shot took 30 seconds while Peggy was painting the tree with a flashlight.
Simple star shot.
Here are a few shot Peggy and I took at Lake Stephens. It became a bit foggy so we had to cut our photo shoot short. [click on the photos to see full resolution.Friday, June 18, 2010
The tree won
Just went to see my brother. He was driving to work one morning and a tree jumped out in front of him. He is doing well considering the damage to the truck. He broke his hip and foot and had some nerve damage to his foot. Otherwise, he is just as ugly as he alway was. Seriously, I was rather pleased to see him up and although slow, getting around. He even took me fishing and as always had to show me up with a rather large bass.

The Storm Rolled In
This storm was very quick as it rolled in. We had very heavy rain for a short time. As quick as it rolled in, it was gone. I am expecting sun at any moment.
Let me know
Please let my know if you like the new layout, or the prior layout. I was trying to get something that accommodated my Garmin Bike ride reports. Please leave a comment and let me know.

Southern Trail
Well, yesterday morning, I wanted to check out the southern trail to see if any expansion was happening. I was pleasantly surprised to fine some new bike trails. At the southern most tip of the bike trail, construction was underway. It seems to have just begun and doesn't go out very far but, appears to be going over Route 33. I suspect it is going to take most of the year to open that section considering bridge work over 33.
I also notice that at a specific spot, I seemed to have turned off the logging function on my Garmin Edge 305. I wasn't aware of this little fact until I got back to the car and was turning it off and notice the message "Starting Timer". (logging). Bummer.
At some point along the trail (when not logging), I found an new off-road trail and took it. This new trail is not indicated on the image below.

A few nature shots from my bike ride this morning
If anyone knows the names of these birds, leave me a comment.
Back on the bike
I took a bike ride this morning with the expressed intent of staying on the trail and just getting exercise. I did stop a few times to snap some pictures of birds but had nothing to brag about.

Polar Bears at the Columbus Zoo
These are just some of the photos taken on Friday (6/4/2010). Peggy and I went to the Columbus Zoo. They had a new section that we wanted to visit and was quite pleased at what they had. The Poloar Bears were in an exibit that allowed you to observe from below the water so you can see them trying to catch the hundreds of trout.
